How close are we to Grand Central?

A few minutes on foot. We're on East 39th Street between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue, so the train, the subway connections under the terminal and Bryant Park are all walking distance from your door. You're steps from Bryant Park, and Grand Central is the other way.

What you're walking into

We're a small house, not a tower. The building is a Beaux-Arts brownstone that was a Williams College social club in the 1920s: six floors, reached by elevator or by the stairs. Each suite was designed with William Engel, a Chelsea artist, and nothing here repeats. Each suite is its own.

What that looks like in practice:

• King Studio: king bed, a lounge area and a kitchenette that's actually equipped, with a two-burner cooktop, toaster, cookware and plates.
• Queen Studio: queen bed and a full kitchenette, laid out so a week works as easily as a night.
• Penthouse Suite: the top floor, with its own terrace and the skyline past it.
• Standard Queen Room with Balcony: its own balcony over East 39th Street, which is a rare thing in Midtown.
• Double Room: two beds and room for four.
• Standard Queen Room, Accessible: a roll-in rain shower and grab bars.

We'll be honest about what we aren't: no big gym, no three restaurants. What we do have is 33 suites and a serious cocktail bar downstairs.

The Raines Law Room is downstairs, with its own door on 39th. Doors open at 5pm Monday to Friday and at 4pm on Saturday. It runs until midnight Monday to Thursday and until 2am on Friday and Saturday, and it's closed Sunday. It's open to the public, so anyone can walk in.

Getting here from the airports

LaGuardia is about 30 minutes out and JFK a little further. We can arrange a flat-rate car service: ask the front desk and we'll set it up.

Before you book

Check-in is after 3pm and check-out is at 11am. Tell us your arrival time and we'll do what availability allows for an early one; if your suite isn't ready, we'll keep your luggage safe. Prices are in USD, with 14.75% hospitality taxes added.
